Vikings: Valhalla is the sequel series to Vikings, but as it’s set many, many years later, it follows new characters, both fictional and based on real-life people. Set over 100 years after the events of Vikings season 6, Vikings: Valhalla explores the final years of the Viking Age and some of the most notable characters and stories from that time. Leading Vikings: Valhalla are Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett) and his sister Freydis (Frida Gustavsson), Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), King Canute (Bradley Freegard), and Queen Emma of Normandy (Laura Berlin).

Throughout three seasons, and with the conflict between pagans and Christians as the backdrop, Vikings: Valhalla covered some of its main characters’ most notable storylines, such as Canute becoming England’s first Viking King, Harald’s quest to become King of Norway, and Leif’s preparations to travel to the other side of the world. Along the way, they were joined by other historical figures, as well as other characters either based on more than one character or who were completely fictional.
